Well, now that you have been exposed to perceptions as an interpersonal process, think of:
1. A time when you and a good friend disagreed dramatically on how much a film rocked/sucked
2. How hot or not another person at a club was for you and a friend
3. How you or a friend's fashion choice led to an "Oh, no you -dih-ent" moment.....
Reveal one of these three above to your classmates and me here on the blog and then answer the following questions:
What would it be like if everyone had the same perceptions or opinions?
What advantages are there in everyone perceiving things and people in the same way? What disadvantages?
Would we want to live in a world in which we all saw things in the same way? Or all saw everything differently?
Sincerely,
The Blogkeeper

Coms 321 Blog II: Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder
1. A time when you and a good friend disagreed dramatically on how much a film rocked/sucked- When me and my friend Waffles saw The Devils Rejects, it was the worst movie I ever saw. It was so violent and meaningless that I waked out of the movie; but came back in because I remembered that we came in his car. However I did spend the rest of the time taxing people on how bad the movie was.
2. What would it be like if everyone had the same perceptions or opinions? The world would be a boring place if everyone agreed. Because everyone would have the same beliefs and there would be know change.
3. What advantages are there in everyone perceiving things and people in the same way? What disadvantages? Good thing would be that we would have no war in society. Bad thing is that we would never advance are technology.
4. Would we want to live in a world in which we all saw things in the same way? No. Or all saw everything differently? Yes because that’s what makes us humans strong and adaptive to whatever the world brings.
Hello everyone this is Chris R. in the Mon/Wed night class...aggh, hate night school, but love the class Sandra...haha
Lets see a time when me and a friend disagreed on a movie, one of the top of my head would be when i watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," with a girlfriend in SD
She absolutly loved the movie, I on the other hand did not really care for it. If anyone has not seen it I would not recomend it, kinda a chick-flick and Jim Carey is just to funny to be doing movies like this, thats just my opinion.
It was nice to have diffent opinions because i really could not stand the girl, we were completely different, it was only drunkin moments that got us to start talking.(hahaha... its true)If we had the same opinions on the movie it would have been a much more boring experience, seeing that we already did not like any of the same stuff, which was the dimise of our relationship but it also made things interesting, to see how much another person differs from things you like or dont like and vise versa.
Some advantages of everyone percieving things the same, is that everyone would be able to come to an agreement on things, say if it was some really important polital event and everyone agreed it needed to be a certain way, than there would be no problem with anyone. Disadvantages of everyone percieving the same, would be that it would not be a divers and cultural would, it would be stagnant and lifeless, everyone would be the same, and that would just be boring
We definently would not want to live in a world were everyone saw the same thing, and we would also not want to live in a world where everyone saw everything differently. I think how things are going is fine, becasuse sometimes ppl agree with you and sometimes ppl don't, it's a balancing act, and thats what our world needs.
