Awesome input on visual aids last week, very creative thinking! I hope seeing your classmates great (sometimes hilarious) ideas was fun and helpful--can't wait to hear those dinosaur and Batman speeches--WOW! LOL! Ok, now let's turn to technology a bit and think about You Tube, what it means in terms of communication. You'd probably use it in one of our classes as either as visual aid source, a research gathering site for entertainment or pop cultural topics, a distraction from your boring homework (!) or....?????? In this weeks LIFE ALTERING, MIND BLOWING blog-o-rama, inquiring minds want to know...???:
1. what your favorite (class appropriate) U Tube selection is
2. why and if you use the site
3. how you could use it for a speech or report
4. what does the term "DIY (do it yourself) media mean & how does it challenge our conceptions of communication/fame?

1. Me and my friends LOVE looking up funny videos on YouTube just so we get a good laugh. We will usually type in comedy keywords like "Family Guy clips" or something.
2. Comedy is mostly why I use YouTube, but I have also used it when I was in high school to look up some videos my classmates would make.
3. You could use YouTube for many different resources or you could even replay a program or certain speech if you wanted to cite something in it.
4. I think that Do it Yourself media is media that you can make yourself. Videos that are put on YouTube can be do it yourself media because it requires time and editing. This challenges our communication because it is not verbal or personal.
-Cassie Kopa
1. My YouTube selections are: Martial Arts/Parkour/Dumb people doing dumb things/stunts
2. I use YouTube for entertainment; basically, to kill time. Or...to forget about School!
3. I can use Youtube as visual aid or as a credible source pertaining to the topics. Of course, I wouldn't use videos that are not professional or that are made by amateurs.
4. D.I.Y.media simply mean that it is done by oneself either professionally or unprofessionally. The end result of D.I.Y. media is that it gives us self-confident. (Proving that anything is possible as long as we put our mind into it). Most importantly, it proves that videos are a powerful source of communication/tool in conveying the intended messages. (Either to inform or persuade viewers).

1.My YouTube selections are on how to do things like cooking recipes and funny videos of anything that people tell me I should look up.
2.I don't really go on it, but if I do it's because everyone is talking about a certain video on YouTube that I must see.
3.You can use it for a speech or report as an visual aid.
4.DIY means anyone is capable of making their own YouTube video, even kids. Everyone express their communicate in different ways so that's why there are so many different videos for the same topic. Some people even become famous from their videos on YouTube.

1. I have used You Tube for some movies and TV shows before it works out but you have to see clips that make the whole show.
2. I dont use it much but like I said I have used it for TV/ movies.
3. This could be used in a report because you could make your own video and play it as part of your speech.
4. DIY means that anyone with a video camera or a video phone can put something on the site. This changes things because some one could go on and say that the sky is red if they wanted to and some how have a video to "prove" it. Stuff could be on there that not everyone agrees with.

1. I watch some of the most bizarre stuff on youtube. For example: videos like Chris Crocker's "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE" rant is freaking hilarious.
2. I use this site for a lot of things. Uploading videos for my friends to see, schoolwork, entertainment, etc.
3. One example of when I used a youtube video to help me with a speech is when i looked up an event that happened on television like the news. i used it as a reference and quoted the speaker.
4. DIY media is media that you can do yourself, like a self-made youtube video. It is especially awesome in this day and age because we have more technology to communicate with eachother.
-Jessica Atkins
1. I personally love looking up new music by groups I might not have ever herd of. I love watching live performances and music videos, even the crazy one random kids just make for no reason.
2. I don't use youtube all that much but if I do I usally just browse music and funny videos
3. Youtube has many videos that could potentially be very useful in a speech. If one was to give a speech on George Bush one could play a video or videos of his wounderful speaking abilities.
4. DIY simply means creating and producing something yourself, not just having someone else take care of everything else while you do the acting. It involves the person in question to be all aspects of their project. Youtube really challenges our communication becuase is a new way of communicating that we must learn to understand.
~Roger Bascou~
i love looking at music videos. i figure i will never live like a rock star or a famous rapper but it sure is fun to watch them act the fool.
sometimes i miss things on television so you tube is a good way to watch some things late.
you could use a snipit from you tube for a visual aid.
MY FAVORITE YOU TUBE VIDEO IS THE ONE WITH WILL FARREL AND HIS FRIEND'S DAUGHTER PEARL, CALLED THE LANDLORD-EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK IT OUT.
I USE IT FOR JUST THE FUNNY VIDEOS, AND THAT IS RARELY.
FOR SPEECH WISE- YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE IT MAY NOT BE A CREDIBLE SITE. HOWEVER YOU MIGHT USE IT FOR HOW NOT TO DO SOMETHING.
DIY-EVERYONE CAN POST THEIR VIDEOS AND BECOME "NEWS", WHICH SOMETIMES CAN INFLUENCE OUR THOUGHTS ON CERTAIN TOPICS.~KATHY SAMERON
1. My You Tube selections of the past have been of: favorite scenes from comedy acts, video clips of people or even celebrities doing funny/crazy things.
2. I have used it mainly for a good laugh and to kill time at work! hehe But it's not often that I use the site
3. For a speech or report, I think You Tube could be great demonstrations.
4. To me "DIY" is a simple and easy access to broadcast something out to the open public and have it be seen. As if it's tool for fame.

I don't use you tube too often. If I do it is usually a school assignment. Did watch a Barak Obama speech on there last week. It makes it more accessible and entertaining. How many people look up the spoofs instead of the serious stuff. It gives me the ability to be a noted player on the media scene. If I post a video and it catches on it could end up around the world and on teh news. Just think of the psycho Britney fan that everyone has seen. In todays You Tube reality obsessed society it paves the way for anyone to find fame.

1) Fav. You tube would have to the one of the laughing babies-I believe it's from America's Funniest Home Videos- the winner was a lady with quadruplets that are laughing at the same time-it's really cute
2) I always seem to look up funny videos that someones told me about.
3) If I did a report on any possible topic I'm sure I could find somethinig on youtube to support it. It's actually a good source.
4) DIY Media sums up You tube-I think it definately opened a whole new door for people that are looking for recognition-I know people have gotten signed after posting a singing clip. It helps reach people that one would normally have no access to.
1. what your favorite (class appropriate) U Tube selection? It would have to be music. I love to download music from you tube on to my ipod. I also like to learn dances moves like solder boy thanks to you tube.
2. why and if you use the site? I use it for many different reasons. One to down load music and videos to my ipod. Second I like to learn different dances moves, And third I like to look up music from the past and Indian music videos as well.
3. how you could use it for a speech or report? Someone can use you tube many different way in there speech. If someone were to be doing a speech on different kinds of music in the world they can almost pull them up on you tube.
4. what does the term "DIY (do it yourself) media mean & how does it challenge our conceptions of communication/fame? To me DIY mean getting your message to the public. And yes gain lots of fame by what do or say.

1.My favorite youtube selection is music videos.I like looking up the older ones.
2.Mainly for musical enertainment or to look up funny videos.
3.Find a video that relates to the topic of your research.
4.Do it yourself media means making your own kind of media, such as putting your own video on youtube.People want to get a message out when they do something spontaneous, especially when they post it online for the public to see.
-Carina Robles
1. My favorite U-tube video is the one that shows an insurgent firing a mortar shell. The second time he does it, it blows up on him. Very funny.
2. I like using the site, as rarely as I do, because it has a braod range of things to see on it. You can find everything from serious, wierd, and funny videos.
3. You could use the site to show video clips that relate to your topic. Why show photos when you can show a video clip of a dog skateboarding.
4. Do it yourself media is exactly that, media you can post yourself. Anything from videos to articles. It challenges our concept of communication and fame because you don't need expensive equipment to do it. Any regular person with a video camera can post something and become famous, for example the guy that was crying about Brittany Spears.

1.) I generally watch korean/chinese dramas or music videos.
2.)It's a great source of non-american entertainment. It's things that normal TV doesn't show.
3.)It can show an example of a situation of an idea in a speech or a how-to for an information speech.
4.)DIY media can change regular concepts of media because it's something that isn't censored. It's the raw idea of someones' personal vision and story.
I don't have a favorite Utube selection because I do not use the site. I could use it as a research tool for a speech/report. It gives you an overall outlook on certain people, places, or things that you may have not considered.
Monica Aguirre
Believe it or not, I have never been on YOU tube,. O don't have a favorite and I can't even tell you what it is about. I really use my computer for my business and research.

1. I usually look up music videos or dance videos.
2. I use this site only to pass time. I never really use it for eduactional purpose.
3. I could us this site as a report or speech because the society now has the need to be expressive and also be accepted. The idea that you are not alone in your different situations allows people whom you dont know to be supportive of each other.
4. I think the only challenge is the fact that the DIY media allows a person to be fictious on their videos and they might get the recognition on false pretenses.
Melissa Xaochay
1. comedy & entertainment.
2. i use it to find something funny to laugh at... or i look at dance videos. like dance crews from aroundthe world. looking at their routines and what nots.
3. you could use it as a visual aid to support your speech or report. it can probably explain what youre trying to say.
4. DIY means.... too... make your own video. no professional help or anything like that. you edit it yourself. you make it yourself. you upload and promote it yourself.
-jenilee gayda
1. My favorite youtube selection are music videos and dance videos.
2. I use the site to look and listen to the new songs that comes out, or if I miss a certain episode of certain dance shows.
3. There are a bunch of clips on certain events that happened, or news, so if you're doing a speech about a certain storm or something, you could look up the clip on youtube.
4. The term DIY, means that you could look at certain clips and do it yourself. You could take on your own person spin on it. This challenges our conceptions of fame and communication because what is being done, we might not agree with it. Also, when you see someone on TV, or on certain videos, they're usually someone famous. However, youtube, most of the people aren't famous, and could end up being famous from it.

I have to say I have very little knowledge of Youtube, just what people have emailed me and I have looked up one or two videos.
1.My favorite video would have to be the one Jimmy Kimmbel did.
2.Like I said I don't really use the site.
3. From what I hear you can find anything on Youtube.
4. To me DIY means amauter media and I think that it challenges our current concepts of communication and fame because people can come from nowhere can reach millions of people via the web and if it gets enough hits it can also be picked up by regular news media.

1. I like looking at the funny animal videos. Those videos sometimes blow me away.
2. They, the animals, blow me away by the way they act like humans or the way they interact with each other.
3. You could use this in a speech by explaining how animals use a different form of communication.
4. The do it yourself media is an empowering source of media (the any persons news), which means this generation doesn't have to depend on the big business news to get what is out there in the world.
My favorite u Tube selestion is Ice Cubes video gangster rap made me do it.
I use this site to laugh, to see funny and intresting things like the scary maze game.
In a speech you can talk about the meaning in the song and video.
It challenges you not to be dependent.
Courtney King
1. My favorite You Tube clip is between Anjelah johnson's "Beautiful Nail" comedy routine, and Brooke Fraser's "Shadowfeet" music video--only because I love the song.
2. I use the site mainly for music. Sometimes I'll look up George Lopez or Jim Gaffigan if I need a laugh.
3. I could use a clip from you tube to demostrate visually a point. (For example, if I was talking about history makers, i could use the music video "If everyone cared" by Nickelback)
4. I have no idea what that term means...probably something along the lines of a media form that you create yourself.

1. I know very little about U Tube. My daughter introduced me to U Tube by showing me a funny video of old women dancing. I thought it was funny.
2. So I guess you could use it to see something funny or maybe a political speech.
3. It sounds like it would be a great visual to bring a point out in a speech or as a opening statement, attention getter.
4. "DIY (do it yourself) media probably means just what it says, Someone creating media video themselves. Many people probably has gained fame by creating there own videos. Technology is constantly changing and increasing our abilities to communicate in so many different way.

1. I don't necessarily have a favorite video clip from You Tube, however; I have enjoyed a few comedies on there and the guy crying for Britney Spears.
2. I use the site more for personal use than for educational use or research. Although the other day I watched the 14 minute clip called "Meet Your Meat" about the inhumane treatment of farm animals that become our meals. A very disturbing video.
3. You could use U tube for a speech or report as a visual aid or as support to your topic.
4. U Tube is an example of "DIY" media done by amateurs or any "everyday" citizen. It challenges our conceptions of communication/fame by someone communicating or reaching out to a mass audience where they establish their own "claim to fame".

My favorite youtube video is the music video would you go with me by josh turner. I actually dont use youtube all that much, but when i do go on it is usually to watch music videos, Or movie clips. Youtube can be great for research because there is so much on there, and you can find clips of anything. if you need a video of any activity or a special ritual then youtube is perfect. Od it yourself media is made by ametures and can be done by anyone. It is great for compitiion and it opens up another venue for thoes that want to become professional to be recoqnized.

1.) I honestly have only been on You-Tube a few times and it was to look up some videos for another class, so I don't have a favorite video.
2.) Like I said before I've rarely used You-Tube but when I did it was for my Film History class when I needed to refresh my memory about some of the videos we had seen in class, I went on the site and found the videos we had viewed in class, so it does come in handy.
3.)I think using a video for a speech or report would be a great visual aid, since You-Tube has so many videos you would definitely be able to find something that would compliment your speech, or even better, a video of yourself doing something that corresponds with your speech.
4.)Do it yourself media allows you to practically put almost anything or do almost anything via the internet including making videos that allow you to sort of "market" yourself, this way people won't have to meet you they will already know a little about you and maybe your personality from what videos you have created or what videos you post under your account.
~B.Barnes~
1.I rarely use the site so i dont know what selections there are but i usually just search certain comedians
2. i have used the site to look up comedy skits and ghost videos but that was about it
3.there are many speeches on youtube i've heard so if i needed to do a report i could use the site as a source
4.do it yourself media is a new concept. people have become famous for posting videos on myspace and youtube by themselves without the help of any agents or landing a part in a movie or show so nowadays if you wanna be famous tape yourself doing something stupid or funny and it may just catch peoples attention, and you dont need to make a life change and move to Hollywood anymore you can just sit right in your own home and watch the views pile up.

I am a hair stylist so me and my co workers love looking up new styles to do to each others hair.
u tube has a variety of different hair style online that you can learn how to do yourself at home. in high school i never looked at u tube. You could use u tube as a citing source for an essay.i think that u tube is a great do it your self type media.

1)My favorite tube selection is comedy! I love to watch funny events on you-tube. It always makes me laugh. Me and my friends always go on it just for enjoyment.
2) I use this site because i thinks its funny and interesting on how poeple would put themselves on there for others to laugh and just make fun of.
3)You can use you-tube as a visiual aid and look for certain topics you are looking for.
4)The term DIY is you can go on you tube and put yourself on the spot. You can also create yourself in different ways.

1. My favoriate youtube selection is funny cartoons, sea animals, and Hmong genocides.
2. Most of the times that I use Youtube is when my son ask to watch funny cartoons or any sea animals videos. Some of those times I spend watching it with him. Other times I would spend it on watching news about the Hmong genocides. I like to keep myself updated with this information.
3. I don't really see why I can't use Youtube for my speech or on report....I think it would be a great visual aid, just as long as it is appropriate for the class. I am planning of using this as one of my visuals in our next speech =)
4. DIY means you are basically the producer of your own video, you sending out your own messages to people out there. The challenge of this is that everyone has their own way of thinking, and their own point of view when they see the message being sent out.

2. When Im bored, I just youtube comdey and when I want to watch a music video that I missed on MTV, I always got youtube...
3. You could either make your own video or look for videos that is class appropriate and use it as a beginning or ending of ur speech.

1) My current favorite You Tube clip is an excerpt from the Bulgarian version of the Idol show. There was a woman who told the judges she was going to sing Mariah Carey's version of "Ken Lee". One of the judges asked if she meant, "Without You" but the woman insisted that the actual title of the song was, "Ken Lee". She sang in some nonsensical, non-existent, language throughout the song and when the judges asked what language it was, she told them it was English. Bless her heart.
2) I mostly use You Tube to see funny videos and on rare occasions, to watch short documentaries that I most likely wouldn't see on television.
3) In a speech or presentation You Tube could be used as a video visual aid. Often there are clips that focus on the subject matter and give the audience a way to actually get a glimpse of the speaker's subject.
4) I’d never heard the term, DIY Media prior to this blog. Based on the little bit I've read on it, it is just the concept of amateurs producing some type of media (newspaper, newsletter, web logs, videos, short films, etc...)for mass consumption. You Tube is a perfect example of this. People with little to know experience or knowledge in short films can create clips of themselves or things that interest them and post them to a site where millions of people can view them. I think prior to venues like You Tube, the only way people could maintain fame was through being a famous writer, singer, actor, or even by being caught in a scandal with a top politician. DIY media provides people who would not receive notoriety otherwise with the opportunity to grab their fifteen minutes and perhaps even extend it out to thirty. DIY media shows that one can be a self-made "celebrity" without attending thousands of casting calls and sending in an endless amount of audition tapes. DIY media takes out the middle man and gives direct "celebrity" to public access.
-Malikka Rogers
1) I've never been on UTube, but I've seen news clips that featured a Utube clip..which are usually really funny or really scary.
2)Still, I've never been on Utube.
3) I guess you can use Utube for anything since anyone can post anything there. Although, I don't think a Utube clip would be very credible.
4)DIY would be exactly how it sounds, do it yourself...meaning anyone can do it...even me. Even though I'm not very tech saavy.

1. My favorite videos of all time are the "Smosh" videos. Their short comedy skits by 2 friends of mine here in sacramento.
2. I usually use the site for funny clips or live band videos.
3. Youtube is an awesome source for a speech, there are so many visual aids you can get on just about every topic imaginable.
4. Take for example the Smosh videos, they just started by making fun of a few different themes or small skits and got it on film. now they are payed by youtube for their videos and have some of the most played videos of all time. So the DIY aspect of fame is doable and it shows with these guys.

1. My favorite youtube video is (yes, I am sick, sick!) the one of the kickfighter breaking his leg. It is seriously so interesting and awful that someone's leg can break like that. I've watched it many times. The great thing about youtube is that it refers you to other similar videos depending on your search terms. So, I've seen pretty much all of the sports accidents available. My husband refuses to see any of them even though he lost a bet and was supposed to, per the terms of the bet.
In contrast to my first example, I also love, love the youtube video where the people stand around with signs saying, "Free hugs." No one will hug them at first, but then it takes off (edited) and everyone is hugging everyone. I am a huge sap and cry each time someone forwards me that video.
2. I really only use the site for sports videos. My husband and kids, though, watch Disney rides over and over on youtube.
3. Youtube could be a great example/visual aid for a speech or report, depending on the topic. I could definitely do a speech on sports injuries using my favorite youtube videos. I'd have to make the examples relevant, though, and not just gory and/or interesting.
4. DIY media, to me, means accessible media. Anyone with the ability to video himself can espouse their views and/or share their interests with the world. I can see DIY media having a great impact on political topics. Also, DIY media can help the earth feel smaller by allowing people across the globe to connect on what interests them. (I see the developing world being largely left out of this, however.)
Communication is altered by the flexibility, timeliness, and freedom of the videos on youtube. Fame may be altered, but I think it's more infamy that comes into play with DIY. Example, that guy who cried for everyone to leave Britney Spears alone! He's infamous, but not famous.

My favorite U-tube selections are funny clips and video. If you have not sen, I reccomend the watching SpongeBob Squarepants do the Soldier Boy Dance!! More than likely I would use this site for visual effects or maybe even an attention getter. I would use this site to help build up my supporting facts or drive home my thesis. I think D.I.Y. media means media that you can make with or without professional. I think it would be a good thing in terms of comm, becuase it would give some of the underdogs a chance to showcase their work.

1. what your favorite (class appropriate) U Tube selection is
My favorite you tube selection is tv sitcoms.
2. why and if you use the site
It is tv sitcoms because most of the time i miss shows that i want to watch and i will be able to catch up on it through you tube.
3. how you could use it for a speech or report
I would use it as a visual aid, or use it as a topic to talk about for an informative speech.
4. what does the term "DIY (do it yourself) media mean & how does it challenge our conceptions of communication/fame?
DIY means that just about anyone who knows how to navgate their way around the internet can post up their own personal messages, videos, etc. It challenges us by allowing us to find the courage to communicate through a different way. Hidden talents are found through these personal postings which will lead to fame.

MY FAVORITE YOU TUBE SELECTION IS OLD CLASSIC MEXICAN MOVIES THAT STAR PEOPLE LIKE MARIA FELIX.
I USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ENTERTAINMENT AND TO LOOK AT THINGS LIKE MUSIC AND PERFORMERS THAT WERE AROUND BEFORE I WAS BORN,
THE WAY I COULD USE YOU TUBE FOR A REPORT OR SPEECH WOULD BE TO SHOW A QUICK CLIP OF SOMETHING RELATED TO THE TOPIC I WAS PRESENTING. AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE OF THE CLIP I SHOWED FOR MY REPORT.
DIY MEDIA TO ME MEANS THAT YOU USE THE INTERNET TO EXRESS YOUR SELF AND WHATEVER IT IS YOU WANT LITERALY THE WORLD TO SEE.

i like looking up movies and tv shows on youtube. i watch alot of classic 80s cartoons on there one of my favorites would have to be thundercats..fuckin love that show. for a report needing a visual aid youtube would be great. you can pretty much type in anything and someone out there has done it for example "2 girls 1 cup". diy media is something relatively new it seems nowadays thanks to youtube everyone thinks there a star and needs to post some stupid thing they do.

1. I saw a u-tube video where a group of people(200) got together and decided that they would all "freeze" at the exact same moment for 2 minutes, and then return to what they were doing. They did this at the grand station in London and then again I think it was Paris. But at the exact moment all 200 people froze, one person was tying his shoes, another looking at his watch another something else, but they were all in action looking moments frozen solid. Everyone around them could not figure what was going on. There was a little panic around Grand Station. People were saying "oh my gosh what has happened these people were moving and now they have appeared to be mesmeroized. I luved it, to see all these people moving around people pretending to be "frozen". Then exactly at the same time, they all started moving again. Taking on from exactly the same place they stopped, or from what they stopped doing. Has anyone else seen this video?
Anyways, I never watch u-tube unless a friend sends it to me. A friend sent me that one.
U-tube probably has a lot of really fun stuff to use for all kinds of reports, like for instance the video I saw, You could use it on a report of human behavior.
The term DIY..I agree with Malikka.. I have never heard this term before here. But do it yourself media allows for a lot of information, communication and miscommunication to be spread. DIY media gives the world a set of another eyes to stuff we could not see before, or at least maybe was less accessiable.

My favorite you tube selection is a video of a guy getting pulled overe and he is drunk dancing in front of a cop. I would use this site if someone saw something funny or exciting then i would look it up on you tube. You could type in what your topic is and use it in your speech or report.

1. i dont usually go on this site, but if i had to i would look up some funn videos or of family uy, i love that show.
2. as i said i dont usually go on this site, but every once in a while one of my friends might show me a video on it and i will then go and look for other videos
3. you could use you tube for examples in a presentation you are doing, or as a visual aide for the same thing.
4. i think do it yourself media is media that you can create. videos that you create on your own or even movies or music videos.

1.My daughter first introduced me to the site. We like to look at music videos and other hilarious stand up comedians.
2.If and when I do use the site, I usually would only look at a music video I haven't seen on television or something. occasinally a friend would send a funny video clip.
3.I thinnk this site would definitely help with a speech or something. Because its so diverse, you can look up just about anything you want to watch or listen to.
4.Do it yourself media is excellet because it allows you to record your own movie clip, singing, and whatever else you want. I'm not that computer savy but the do it yourself media would be interesting to know about.

Does it count if you answer ?? to all the questions listed?? I actually have not had much experiance with UTUBE to be honest! I have seen climps of dumb stuff to laugh about on tv, but never used it yet for a class presentation, etc..That will probably change when I learn more about it hopefully in the future..

1. Videos. I like to watch music videos when I am bored.
2. I dont really go on it. I have only been on it 2 times. but it was fun.
3. like if you missed something on TV that you needed to watch for a report.
4. it means that anyone could post anything on you tube.
~Nadine
1. My favorite youtube selection is either funny stand up comedy moments, or even live band performances.
2. I use this site frequently to view things that i may have missed on TV. I also use it as a form to do do it your self things.
3. I feel that you could use you tube for a speech of a report as a part of your visual aide. You might even be able to provide your speech or report on you tube yourself.
4. I think that it is more and more challenging now a days do create anything. But DIY has revolutionized the way we learn how to tie a knot on a tie all the way to popping a wheelie on your motorcycle.

I rarely go on You tube but the times that I have been on it s been to watch some of the funny Family guy videos or comedian bits
When I have used it usually I have been shown something comedic
With as many topics you can search I am sure it could be a very valuable research for a presentation or speech
DIY media I would venture to say is eptimized by self promotion and social networks that allow individuals to post & promote their views or vision so other can view and comment on them. These mediums should be used cautously because once you post something, its out there for good

1. Music videos, movie scenes and just looking up funny videos
2. You tube has pretty much everything you know when you say oh my god do you remember watching that one thing on tv that one time like 5 years ago its most likely you tube would have it
3. Since you tube has everything you can replay such things as a speech from a president to whose the latest cast off on american idol, it can be a great resource
4. I think D.I.Y media means that you can tape anyone doing anything put it on the web and its D.I.Y media it challenges our conception of fame because when some creepy looking guy can post a video on you tube yelling and crying saying to leave britney alone and then end up on jimmy kimmel the nest week like it just shows you that talent has nothing to do with fame anymore
1. well, my fav youtube vidoes would have to be street racing, or just racing at the track. especialy when it involves camaros and mustangs.
2.people mostly use it for ammusement, you cant realy find anything thats realy informational on that site.
3.you could use this site for a report to show somthing, like if you want to show how somthing is made or done
4.ummmm....i have no idea what that is so i cant comment sorry.

Vito Yanez - You tube is TV on the internet at your demand! I use it mainly for entertainment but I have noticed that it is a great resource for school. Whether it be speeches, videos, or slideshows its very useful for class projects or Visual Aids. Do it Yourself Media is what we use everyday myspace, facebook, email its our way of communication nowadays! I love it because you can express your personality through myspace layouts, facebookgroups and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.
