Pretend like this is our classroom...LOL! Ok, it's not quite that relaxing, but what can I do?!? Visual aids and pictures are important support for any good speech, in fact a beautiful or moving image can set the mood for your talk and draw your audience into your speech. Visuals must be big enough to be seen clearly by all audience members and should have very small amounts of text, in a simple font. They should support your speech and add depth to the mesage. Dream up your most creative idea for a visual aid in a speech/"Chat" titled "Lazy Summer Days." Read the previous postings because i want an original idea that no one else has posted in order to count this blog towards your grade, ok? Take a look at the book chpt on visual support too. --Sandra

Well, lazy summer days.
I think most of us would be lazy on weekends because of loads of works during the weekdays.
So, this might be your weekends:

Drunk?

Sleeping in bed on Saturday and Sundays...
And... yes, I like cats.
For people version...:
There's a book called "Lazy Days of Summer"

However, come on, people, don't be lazy! We can have fun like this!:
At the pool!

This might want to go into the pool right away:

In conclusion, people, let's have some fun during this hot and humid summer time!
We cannot do this during the winter! Am I right?

Lazy Summer Days....make me think of the time when I was in Spain two years ago.

This was the best trip I have ever taken.
I think any type of visual aid from europe would be visually and aestheticly stimulating.

Summer must be hot, isn't it? Well, how about giving a speech to your class (Oops! 'Chatting with friends') under the shade.

Hmm, still hot isn't it? How about taking it a little further to this waterfall. Not only the aid takes away the craziness of a warm summer day but also the water flow creates a sense of dynamic rather than static.

What would be more perfect than enjoying lunch with family and friends while sitting in the water on a hot summer day? Sounds like a fantasy, yet it is a perfect idea. If this were the topic, the visual aid below would be just right as it takes you away from the stressful reality to a heaven like location.

What is more representative of lazy summer days than 4th of July? Sit back with friends after bbq's and swimming to watch fireworks.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Let's try that again.

Lazy days summer would be tanning on the beach wearing bikinis and swimsuits. Reading books or magazines, playing outdoors games on the beach. while people are swimming in the water. Enjoying a cool refreshing drink that is helpful to a hot summer days. Might as well jump in the water to cool are bodies. Also, lazy days summer includes gazing at the sunset as daylight comes to an end. Enjoying summer days at the beach is a great way to take advantage of being lazy and comfortable.
here's a picture of summer days at the beach.

Well, I start work at 4:30 in the morning and after work I am nothing but lazy and this hot summer makes it even worst....What keeps me going is Music...Anytime I need something to boost my energy up I listen to music. Sometimes I sing to myself( I am a horrible singer) and let the music take control. I will think of a particular song and just go with the flow. And if I have seen the music video of that song I will visual that in my head...Another think I enjoy during Lazy Summer Days is sit by the ocean with some wine and watch the sunset....it feels really nice and relaxing..

This picture of random kids on a trampoline from the internet reminds me of all the summers I would go over to my cousin's house to swim, eat otter pops, tan, and funnest of all jump on the trampoline. At night we would sleep on it too. They had a 13 foot trampoline. To me jumping on the trampoline is a summer activity where there is no worries no school and no responsibilities. : )

My best representation of a lazy summer day would be a nice quite nap in the shade of a large tree next to a cool flowing river. Completely away from all the cares and stress of the world. While it may be isolation its my idea of total peace.

I can't help thinking of summer without thinking of being tired from the warm sun. The first image that came to my mind was maybe something like a sleeping cat, or maybe a dog sprawled across some grass under the shade. Whatever it is, most of the time when we're outside we're doing some sort of resting because it's already so hot and the sun exhausts us. That kind of goes along with the lazy part of the "Lazy Summer Day" title. :)

Another thing that I just thought about (and can't believe no one else has said yet) is ICE CREAM!!! that makes the summer complete.

What would the lazy days of summer be without America's favorite pastime, Baseball. The crack of the bat, a ball hitting a glove, and a warm summer day are an ubeatable combination. Visual aids are abundant throughout the game. Everyone loves the ballpark atomosphere because there is something for even the smallest fan. If you didnt come for the game, there are the classic ballpark foods to keep you entertained. Hotdogs, nachos, ice cream and ice cold beer to help cool off from the summer heat. Souvenirs like caps, jerseys, balls and everyones favorite, the foam finger can help you show your team pride. There are so many reasons to like baseball, but one of the greatest things is that you can get together with your friends and still gone home with some money in your pocket.
On the week's eve of MLB All star game, fans will get to see the most talented players in Major League Baseball. The all star game is a gift for the fans who look foward to a break in the regular season to view some high powered action. Even the causal baseball fan can find some interest in events like the home run derby that showcase the leagues power hitters. Summer would not be summer without baseball!

Hmm...lazy summer days? I should have posted a blog earlier! All the good ideas have been taken (GRR). Let's see what I can come up with. On a lazy summer day, I picture myself sitting on a porch with some friends talking and enjoying a nice cold glass of fresh squeezed lemonade. My friends and I can go on forever about anything. It can go on and on! Of course when it's way too hot we'll hop in the pool or just go inside and enjoy the air conditioning and chat some more.

Lazy summer days?
The best description would be:
Nice beach, warm sand, light breeze, no one around, me sleeping in hammock and not worried who is going to change my daughter. Well hopefully that will be the summer days in the future, but now we have to sweat over our speeches especially with the hot days that we have now.
Tatyana Gidenko
When I think of lazy summer days, I think about lying on a beach with warm sand, closing my eyes, and listening to the sound of nature. Too bad the idea has been taken. =( Then, I think about taking a nap, reading books, or eating ice cream in an air-conditioned room after a long day of walking and sweating under the hot sun. I could still remember how great that felt when I was in Taiwan during summer two years ago. Taiwan was a much hotter place comparing to Sacramento. Hence, whenever I see an air-conditioned store on the street, it was heaven to me, and I would go in there and stay for a while until my body would not sweat anymore. The best public air-conditioned place I loved to go in Taiwan was bookstore. I would sit on the floor and read some interesting books for the whole afternoon. That was quite a lazy summer day for me because I felt so relaxed without any disturbances from the hot weather and school works.

With a chat/title for a speech called lazy summer days I think the visual aid that I would use would be a giant fan. Because in my lazy summer days it is ridiculously hot in my house and even hotter outside and so what do I like to do?? I like to sit in front of my nice giant fan and watch some tv or play some videogames.

Lazy summer days, hm? Well, the week before classes up at Humboldt are pretty lazy...but they aren't very 'summery'....

Believe it or not, that fog is a genuine summer thing up in Arcata, and I love it! I don't mind my lazy summer days being holed up in a dorm with my mates, warm toe socks, and a bag of popcorn.

Lazy Summer Days
A picture of a room with a bed. I am curled up in the bed half asleep. There is a window behind me with the curtains partially pulled back, with the sun rays beaming in. The clock on the wall reads 12:55pm.
This is what a Lazy Summer Day is to me.

Lazy Summer Days. . .hummm....a good visual aid for this speech topic would be.....kids riding on their little bikes rolling up and down on the sidewalk---four houses and back with the parents sitting out on the front lawn/porch talking and drinking cold punch with the fan running. The parents occassionally looking over at the kids and hoping for something exciting to happen in the neighborhood. OR Kids playing in a blow-up or little plastic pool in the backyard with their cousins--and the parents (aunts and uncles) hanging out barbequing together--having a cookout because there's nothing else to do. They are not celebrating anything but FAMILY TIME :)
--Pahoua Khang
If I gave a speech on lazy summer days, I would probably go to a location of the beach perhaps, to show my audience you should not be locked in your house stuck on the television or sleeping the day away!
