I was thinking maybe in a informative speech talking about how bad our environment is getting, a picture of an extremely foggy and polluted air would be an effective picture. Also, a picture of what our environment should look like, possibly a picture in nature with vibrant colors would work.

hmm...i think a picture of a nice plate of food (minus any animal or byproducts) would be good. A plate with brown rice, beans, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, onions, etc. In today's society, I think everyone should start eating healthy. Lots of vegetables and fruits!

helloo.

For the informative speech, I will talk about the most effective ways to lose weight. Such as exercise, diets, eating healthy, etc. I might bring any kind of exercise equipment, or brochure on any exercise program. I'm not too sure what to bring yet, but anything that involves exercising! Maybe even brochures or info on 24 hr fitness.

For a speech about the effects of smoking, a good visual aid would be a picture of lungs that are blackened from tar would be rather effective. Also, a diagram of how cigarette smoke effects the body would be helpful.

I was thinking that for my informative speech I will talk about the effects of caffeine, withdrawal symptoms that show caffeine addiction, and possibly the long term health effects of caffeine. I was thinking about bringing in a cup of coffee as a visual aid.

i think i will talk about UFO in my informative speech. Even though the existence of UFO is still in controvery, i think it would be interesting to learn more about natural phenomena scientists cannot explain. A picture of a claimed-to-be-seen UFO would work, or even some pics of science-based imaginary aliens.
Is it okay if i change my topic later?

Hello,
A good visual aid can be a chart on statistics. You can also bring in items or pictures on the topic you are talking about.

i work at massage envy so i was thinking about talking about the benefits of improving your health by getting massages and the many different massages you can get to help. so my visual aid could be a brochure about our program.

I was thinking that for my informating speech I will want to talk about what causes diabetes. Some of the causes are high blood pressure, poor diet, lack of exercise, etc. I might have to bring pictures of diabetic patients and some supplies such as syringes and insulin vials.

I was thinking for my informative speech I would talk about self-promotion. The way our ecomony is job seekers have to be creative when they are trying to sell themselves to a prospective employer. My visual aid could be a non-traditional resume.

How about what to do when spending time with kids? I can bring some ideas i do with my grandsons as an example. I really didn't get a break. During break i studied for midterms everday except one day was with my grandsons. Wish midterms were before the break. Margaret

I have no idea what to speak about. I hope Sandra has some ideas for those of us who are drawing blanks. Recently, I boiled a lot of eggs, guess I could speak on how to boil an egg and bring in lots of smelly hard boiled eggs. I actually went on line to find out how to boil the perfect egg. Sandra, you can help out on this visual aid also, peeling and eating an egg. See you all soon. JoAnn

i think i can use a visual aid from different clips off couple of tv shows?

Well i believe that the best visual aid that is not too distracting but informative would be a picture related to the topic. A good visual aid for an informative speech about traveling would be pictures of different places.

I think informative speech is to give new information which is educational or benefic to the audience. For example, a speech about a new water system to connect rain that promts to architect; a cook who introduce a new recipe to housewife. So, informative speech's topic is the most knowable and interested to the speaker. Thus, I will take the topic about the ghost. I will compare and contrast Halloween and Chinese ghost festival.

Hey Jacquelyn I have an idea for your visual aid. How about you give a demonstration of some massage techniques on a volunteer!

Hey everyone, I've been having a hard time thinking of a topic. But if I don't think of anything good, I was thinking my informative speech can be about the benefits of sleep or the consequences of lack of sleep. I'm not sure what the visual could be. Can I have my sister sleeping while I'm making the speech? Any ideas?

Using computer is the best visual aid. And Microsoft Powerpoint is just one of many useful applications that we can use to improve our speech. Some of free programs which are avaiable online to download can be integrated during the speech to enhance its content and quality.
