Some activities that came into my mind that I can do with my friends are planting trees, collecting cans and plastic bottles for recycling. By my willingness of time investment, I am able to bring forward emotional closeness with my friends. Another activity can even be educating others about ways of saving our earth and getting them involved in our ideas of actions, moving toward friendship.

My friend and I can collect and recycle bottles and cans. Both my friend and I are willing to invest time and effort to help make this a better place to live. Recycling will help my friend and I to apply closeness through doing. We also support each other when one is under personal stress.
~Ling Vuong
An activity that I can do with my friends is to invest my free time to go and pick up trash in my local parks. I trust that my friends would be there with me to help and support my decision to help make our town a cleaner, better place to live. Hopefully this activity would bring my friends and I closer together and that we would have a fun time.

Some activities my friends and I could do for Earth Day would be to recycle and also to build a bird feeder as birds play an important role in the ecosystem. We could use recyclable objects to make the bird feeder. With the support of my friends in helping with these activities, and their willingness to invest in our friendship to help in our environment, would bring us emotionally more close.

On Earth Day, my friends and I can choose to make simple sacrifices, like carpooling together and spending time downtown, where frequent travel doesn't require cars. The time spent together allows us to become closer by doing things.
I can invite people to do things to determine their interest in either being friends or not.
In addition, we can clean parks and recycle, moving past normal patterns of interaction to move toward friendship.

An action that my friends and I could do clean up the beach together. After a sunny weekend, there is usually a lot of trash along the shoreline that could be recycled or be picked up so that it would not hurt the animals or be put into the ocean. We will be able to develop emotional closeness through doing because my friends and I do a lot of things we enjoy without having to talk too much. We also invest in each other by spending time together for a good cause and by supporting each others' willingness to make a difference.

I like to do things like plant trees, and recycle. When I was younger, my grandfather used to make squirrel feeders, and fill them with peanuts. If I am with my friends, I usually like to carpool and spend more time appreciating the local parks.
For earth day I have planned to spend it with my friends who happen to be my children. In doing so, we will take our cans, plastic bottles and glass bottles to the recycling center. I plan to teach them that our willingness to invest in recycling will preserve our future. In spending time with them I hope to develop emotional closeness through talking to them and sharing our thoughts. Not only that, I hope to gain their trust because trust can easily be lost yet hard to gain. I don't plan on losing their trust or their friendship. I want to be more than a father to them, I want to be their best friend, a friend and father who they can talk to any time about anything.

Hi Emily,
Planting trees is a great idea! There is never too many. Carpooling is also another great way to help save the ozone. Anything we can do to save our planet for our future.

My best friends and me would be collecting some cans and plastic bottles at our kid's school on Earth Day. After we are done, we are going to share a coffee and talk. This activity would be a great way to improve our environment and friendship. Also, I have a friendly relation with some of my neighbors, so I am thinking that I would ask them if they have some e-waste stuff to recycle or donate to others in need.
Sorry, I forgot to sign my comment.

One thing I can do with a friend is to ride a bike to and from school everyday as a way of reducing car emissions. (My family has been recycling for years, already.)
Once a year members from my church worldwide gather (in their respective communities) and we clean up parks, paint fences, trim bushes, plant trees and bushes or whatever we are asked to do. It is a lot of fun and a great community service project.

A activity that doesn't take much time and you can do it with your friends, that came to my mind is take plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles and take it to a recycling center to recycle them. And another activity could be pick up all the garbage and things that don't belong in your neighborhood and throw them away! A clean enviornment is a healthy enviornment!! Doing this with your friends will bring you guys closer and you'll be able to show them that there's a lot you can do to help the world out and make it into a better and healthier place to live even if it's the smallest things you help out with.

For earth day I plan on helping my mom do some yard work. We will support each other if we need any help, we will also bond which will create emotional closeness. By talking to each other and doing this work i hope that we also gain more trust in each other and are able to strengthen our relationship on a beautiful day.

My friends know they can expect me to come up with the randomest things, but they accept me just how I am. So if I suggested we plant trees on Earth day I know they would be there to support me. We have all gone through personal changes over the years, but we are all still there for one another.
Looking at other posts reminded me, my friends and I always carpool it's a great way to spend time together and save some money. I completely forgot it's great for the planet too!

We can help our earth in the simple things we do .. We can drive slower to conserve fuel and recycling... I used to never recycle.. then I started slowly and I saw just how much waste was created by just myself and my son. It is incredible how much we can save from going into our landfills.
Kim Ramm
For Earth day me and my friends can recycle bottles and pick up trash and clean after ourselves when we are hanging out at the park. We would try to carpool and save gas. We could support each other and act in kindness to others.
-Olga Fanina
it's a good idea to think about what we can do with friends for the earth day. Planting trees is a good idea, but I don't know the weather is ok for planting trees or not. My friend's family just got a new house. I guess I will take someone to support them. How about using bus together on that day. It's could help us move toward friendship by doing something together. And for my geographic distance friends, who live far away from me. we will send messages to remind each other about earth day.

Some things that my friends and I try to do on a daily basis are recycling and car pooling when we have the chance. Its not much, but a little bit is better than nothing. From doing this, it gives us time to get shows that we are willing to invest time in one another. It makes us support and trust each other. Every time we see each other, we communicate honestly.

On earth day me and my friend can both invest in our personal bonding by picking up garbage while catching up on our lives. Doing this shows great commitment in our friendship because we are not only respecting the earth but we are putting time into our relationship whcih also helps build trust. Another activities me and my friends could do is help sort out the recycbles in the garbage while we each support each other regardless of the mess. In participating earth day and being friends with one another it shows how we accept each other for who we are by just being there doing same activities together.

One activity that I would like to do with a friend or two for Earth Day is to go on a nature walk - either locally like the American River or Davis Arboretum or go on a hike somewhere out of town like the Muir Woods. Maybe, we'll have a picnic after. Not only are we supporting the California Parks, but we are bringing awareness on how beautiful earth is and it should be protected.
For this activity I would like to re-connect with friends I hardly see, because of personal changes in my career and school schedule. This activity would bring us closeness through doing and will remedy our waning friendship.
My friends and I can recycle cans and bottles. As my peers have said we will have to invest not just our time but also some money. It is not enough to accept that we can not make a difference we have try and support each others efforts.
Vanessa Monsibaiz
For this week earth day, my friends and I are willing to invest our time to collect can and plastic bottles for recyclin. Besides that, we also plan to collect some trash paper at home for recycling too. They will support my decision because we trust and beleive in each other.
Molly
Some activities my friends and I can do are cleaning the parks, recycling and preventing pollution in any way possible. Doing these activities would be honoring and it shows loyalty to our earth. Neglecting the cleanliness of our earth and not giving back to it is not only hurting the earth but every living thing in it.
Lampel Ruiz
What my friends and I can do to help the earth is to pick up trash we see. If people see us doing this, my hopes are that they will join our cause. This will create a major chain reaction of cleanliness, then we will be close to godly!
-Dan Phan
some activites for earth day is a bake sale to raise money for trees to bring the emotional appeal we need to move forard toward freindship and create unity
On earth day I am able to have a emotional closeness with my family, friends and classmates, With my family, we collect cans and bottles from our backyard or neighborhood adn recycle them. With my freinds we love to carpool when we go out. It saves us gas adn also give us the previledge to ride on carpool lane. With my class today, we made posters to encourage people to recylcle and protect our earth. One thing that I always done was pick debris from the ground and throw it in trash. Whenever I see a debris any where, i have a tendencies to pick it up and throw it away. Its a good habit of mine that I since I was a child.
--Ka Bao Lor
My friends and I can go out to parks in our neighborhood and pick up trash. I will take support from all of us to be able to do this efficiently. My friend friends and I are really emotionally close and we understand each other, so even if we were picking up trash we would have a lot of fun.
-Maggie Cabrey
Some activites we can do to help is recycle and instead of driving your car maybe you can bicycle or take the bus. Also another great way is to take shorter showers.
My friend and I live very close together, and have class around the same time twice a week. We could carpool to school if not every week, than at least once a month. Carpooling could help strngthen our friendship, as we would share a common goal of being more earth friendly and having the desire to reserve resources. I would have trust in my friend that she would be on time, and she would have a similar reliance on me to be on time. Doing these types of activities could create a closeness by doing, and may inspire us to participate in other earth friendly activities such as recycling bottles.
-Chrystia Cabral
Some things to do is go clean up a park and possibly plant a tree somewhere with the permission of the city. Help encourage earth day by recycling or holding a recycling center for people to bring their recyclables.

My friends and I can help clean up the soccer ground this weekend after the tournament. I believe this keeps a friendly relation and keeps the trust among folks. For me it would give the satisfaction of knowing that I'm doing what I can to help.

me and my botfriend volunteered last week at victory park in stockton. The experience gave us CLOSENESS THROUGH DOING, we had a great time and showed eachother SUPPORT throughout the activity. Along with being my boyfriend i saw him as a FRIEND OF THE HEART because i saw his warm volunteer side. There were a few challenges in the volunteering day but, we didnt SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF.
I think we can all be more earth friendly by driving calmly at 60mph on highways, ensure the tires are properly inflated, reduce the idling time of the engine and reduce the unnecessary usage of A/C to save fuel and reduce emission while prolonging the life of our vehicles.
Closeness through doing:
Through pursuing a shared goal we can feel more close together.
Engage in dual perspective:
We have to be open minded to accpet different points of view to learn from each others.
Grow from difference:
We can all hear from each other to learn different ideas about how to be more earth friendly.
I agree with Ho. We can all turn the A/C off and just open the window a tiny bit. Its still cool outside and it will be good for the environment.
