For this portion of the take-home mid term, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60cDHb-tvMA and watch the speech a couple of times (it's interesting and kind of funny, hope you enjoy it!) Next, provide examples of any of the elements from our class outline you hear/see demonstrated in his speech from attention getter to memorable ending and all the stuff in between, give complete sentence answers and examples for each component,
ie: The speaker captured the audience's attention by dancing with the clown in a weasel costume.

You teach with such grace, skill, and patience. It must be wonderful to have such quality "A" students such as James. I really sympathize with you though for having to deal with rowdy troublemakers like Johnston and Cherie. Not to mention hooligans like the 2 Jessicas, Arturo, Kelli, Chris Bliss, and Bryce.

Sandra,,I can't seems to watch the video using the school computers..There is no sound...hopefuly ill find plan B.

sup teach we had major problems with the video. When we tried to watch it at home it wouldn't play, when we tried to watch it at school the vidoe played for 2 sec. every 2-4 minutes. It took us thirty minutes to watch 23 sec of the video

i can't get the video to play...it keeps cutting up and going black, not to mention it sounds like it is scrabbled. i have tried two computers on three different days. I don't know if it's the video or me (which it probably is) but my other videos are working fine...anyways, let me know what else I can try!!!

Any version of the Jobs Commencement speech you can find will work for this exercise if You Tube is kicking you off, just google "Steve Jobs Commencement Speech"--if you absolutely can't get it, I will accept a different speech, if you give me the full url so I can listen to it too. OR read a printed version of the speech and do it that way???? I am so open minded!!! Smiles--S
