My friend Han is a prototype of a good friend to me. I have known Han for over eleven years and our friendship grew and we establish trust by communicating with each other regularly. Han is a good friend because she listens to my problems, shares her thoughts with me, and is always present when I needed her for help. She is special because she never fails when I needed her support; she gives constructive criticism when needed and bottom line, I trust her. Wood provided an example of “stabilized friendship” and I believe that Han and I have this type of friendship. We not only invest time knowing each other, but we also build and expand our friendship and it is has reach the stabilized state.

My best friend Scott is a prototype. He is the type of guy that will be any where i need him to be for me on a last second notice. I would do the same thing for him. Whenever we hang out its always a great time filled with laughs and fun but when we joke around we know the boundaries and dont ever go over them. We enjoy the same hobbies and both get along with each others girlfriends which makes it all the better to hang out with. He will always be there for me and I for him.

My prototype of a good friend is my best friend Ashley. She is always there for me no matter what. She's there when I need a shoulder to cry on, to give me strength and hope when im really down, advice when I need it, and support in everything I do. She is the most loving, self-less, caring and trusting person I know. I can always count on her for anything.

My friend Vicki is my prototype of a friend. I have known her for over 10 years so we both know each other inside and out. She is someone I can trust with everything including personal things to relying on her to do things for me when I can't. She is a very good listener and always gives me feedback and advice whenever I need it. Basically, she is always there when I need a friend. Wood's example of a friend does apply to my example because my friend and I do invest in each other by spending time together and giving each other gifts. Whenever we argue or have a disagreement, we know that it won't end our friendship but we know that it will make it stronger and for the better.

My best friends name is Maura. The main reason we are such great friends is that we understand each other in ways most people don't. It's as though sometimes we are an extension of each other, and always know what the other is thinking without having to say a word. We have a great amount of trust and I know she will always be there for me as though she were family, and I for her as well. Our similar perspectives on life and our weird sense of humor is what brought us to be friends, and helps continue to keep our friendship strong. I agree with many of the observations Wood made about friendship,and I see willingness to invest, emotional closeness, acceptance, and trust as all strong compponents of our friendship.

My prototype for a good friend would be my friend Vay. Vay and I have known each other since high school, but we didn't hang out until 3 years after we graduated from high school. Since then, have been good friends for 7 years now.
I think Vay is an excellent friend, because he is always there for me. Although he lives in Vermont now, I can still count on his solace and support in times of my needs. Vay is also the type of friend who you can trust and tell anything to without fear of being judged. This is why I get the best advice from him.
My friend Mary is a prototype of a good friend. We met each 8 years ago but we never really hung out until the 3 yrs ago. She is a really good friend. Were in laws too; so it makes the bond even stronger. Everytime i need her she would be there for me. If i was stuck in the middle of no where she be the first and only person i would call because i know she would come in a hearbeat. We've been there through thick and thin. We shared our many adventures together. Were just really good friends.

A former boyfriend name Scott is who I consider to be the prototype of all great friendships. We could talk about anything and everything. He was intelligent and very kind. He never said a bad word about anyone, even if it was deserved. We could go out on a date for 3 or 4 hours, part and 30 minutes later be on the phone for another 3 hours. We never seemed to run out of conversation.
And there were plenty of times where words were not even spoken and we were just quiet together enjoying each others' company. I felt treasured and loved. If I did something stupid or was upset, he would listen, acknowledge my feelings, then suggest something to do to lighten my spirit. He really was the best of friends.

My prototype of a friend isn't actually one of MY friends, he's my boyfriend's best friend, Ryan. They've known each other for almost 20 years, and have hung out almost every day since. Even though they have very different paths in life, they have always been there for each other. They are more like family than anything. Ryan lives in Utah right now, but they still talk almost every day. These guys can spend hours talking about their childhood, and laugh at their favorite memories for days.
My prototype friend is Anthony. I learnt a lot about the country he came from and the culture they have, he is very special because I can learn from him while sharing a lot of fun together, and that is my idea of a perfect friend.
My prototype for a great friend is my bestfriend Kyle. I've known him since I was in middle school, and I have always got along with him. I trust him with just about everything and he trusts me with the same. He tells me his real opinion on things, and that's the type of friend I want. I don't want a friend to sugarcoat problems. He drops anything if I need him, and I drop anything if he needs me. We don't always talk but when we do it's always a very meaningful talk. When I have no one else to turn to, I turn to him.
My friend Kyle is the prototypical friend. He is always there for me in the ups and downs and he will always drop what he is doing to help me. He knows everything about me and I know everything about him. We can talk about anything, nothing is off limits. He also tells it how it is to me and if he doesn't like something I'm doing he will let me know.

My sister, Deann, is the prototype of a good friend to me. She's honest with me, and doesn't let me get away with anything (she always calls me out when I do something bad, unfair, wrong, etc.). She is always there to support me, and I trust her completely. She supports my decisions. You could say our motto for our friendship is "if you're happy, i'm happy. but if i see you're going to fall, you know i'll catch you."

My old friend Teddy is the prototype of a good friend. When we were kids we could hang out all day playing video games, watching TV, riding bikes, and just hanging out. My good friend prototype would have to be Rahel. She is always there when I need her. Shes a great listener and at the same time she is comfortable enough to share her issues with me. Another important quality she has is I can talk to her without worrying about everybody else finding out from her. She has a great sense of humor and has a go with the flow personality. She always supportive of my desicions but can tell me if I'm being dumb or approaching something wrong like being to emotional. My prototype of good friend is my best friend Erika. We have had a friendship for more than 10 years. She is a person who support me at any time and she knows that she can count with me too. She is a great person because she is a good listener during hard times and she gives me the best advice without a negative criticism. My friend Tay is the prototype of a good friend. We've known each other since the seventh grade. After high school (1997), we moved and went our separate ways. He started his family and I started mine. We lost all contacts. In 2003, I was living in Minnesota, while I was driving, Tay crossed me driving the opposite direction. I thought to myself, "that can't be him." I went on my way to the airport. While in the baggage claim area, I saw who I thought was Tay again. This time we got to speak to one another and get each others information. Since then, we both have moved back to California. I chose Tay because he is one friend who I can count on for anything and any time. It doesn't matter if it is to hangout, to talk or for moral support. He is always there for me. I believe Wood's observations are right on with support, trust and acceptance. A friend must be supportive, trustworthy, and accept the friend for who he or she is.

My friend Lena is a protoype of a good friend. I have known her for four years. One of the main things I like about our friendship is that she will hear me out and not once judge me for who i am. she will give me her perspective on things and is always encouraging. She is a great person that understands me and we have never gotten in a fight or an argument. i can be serious, funny, goofy, or anything around her. most of the time we agree on everything and have a lot of the same interest. and yes based on Wood I would say that our friendship is stabilized and no mather what happens in life I plan to always be her friend.

hard to choose one of my good friends to post in here. none of my friends is perfect, but most of them are great friends. I am thinking about one of my friend, Ruby. I know her about 6 months ago. She is a lot older than me and she care about me like her kid. But we are friends. She is a good listener friend. one time I have a trouble with my friend and don't know what to do. After listen to me, she share story about her life, which is very hard to share with another. And she use that to help me find the way to solve my problem. One of my dearest friends Ashley Hook had the chance to publish her book including one of my favorite poems she has written, giving me great inspiration to love! I adore this poem so much because it is an indicator on why Ashley is a Prototype of a friend to me. She can express her emotion so clearly through her writing. I look to Ashley as a primary source of shaping my self-image. Although her poem is relating to a love between romantic partners, it is the mere fact that she is so aware of what her feelings are communicating to her. She is extremely humble and giving to her environment.
To me a friend is someone who is there for you no matter what. They love you unconditionally and without judgement. They are there for the laughter the tears and help guide you through your mistakes. I am blessed to have 3 best friends..... My sister Stephanie, Tracy and Veronica. 7 years ago when my husband passed away my FRIEND Veronica found out at about 6 am and was at my front door from oregon in 3.5 hours.... She then stayed with me right by my side for an entire week.(btw, I was with her 20 years ago when her husband passed away.)

My prototype of a good friend is Bibi. I have known her for a little over a year now. Bibi is my coworker. I feel that she is more than a friend as a matter of fact we refer to each other as sisters. She always has been there for me, through good times and bad. We both are from the same background and have endured similar hinderances and toils. She taught me to see through all my difficulties and focus on my abitions in life. I believe Wood's elaboration of friendship fits our relationship. Bibi and I have never fought so I can not speak from experience, but I believe what ever the argument will be about, our friendship will most definetly weigh more. My prototype for the perfect friend would have to be my friend Celso. I have known him since 8th grade and there has never been a time that I needed him that he wasn't there. We can not talk for a month or even more but as soon as we do talk it's like that time didn't even happen.
